Nature guide & bridge between cultures
A nature guide and tour designer for more than 25 years, Halim Sbai develops in M’Hamid an approach to travel that links tourism, heritage, music and the environment.
He is also the founder of the Zamane Festival and director of the Joudour Sahara Music Program, through which he works to pass Saharan musical traditions on to the younger generations of M’Hamid.
Surrounded by a local team of guides, camel drivers, musicians and villagers, he accompanies each traveller towards a sincere encounter with the land - far beyond a simple visit to the desert.
